Evening Wine courses

A perfect 3-evenings wine course, served with delicious Bergerac regional light dishes, designed to give an introductory knowledge of wine and its appreciation - knowledge of wine - tasting techniques, tasting the grape varieties, choosing from restaurant lists, serving tips and techniques, as well as acquiring a deeper understanding of wine appreciation.
A minimum of 3 wines will be shown per evening during the class.
A course folder and notes will be provided.
A Bergerac Wine Holdings certificate will be issued upon participation and completion of the course.

One Week Wine course in Bergerac

For the wine connoisseur or the wine tourist, stay in one of our chateaus and spend your days learning about wine by morning, followed by a lunch. In the afdternoons roam as a tourist in this amazing wine region, then join our team for an aperitif, before dinner in one of the many wonderful local restaurants in the area, or just picnic in our scenic vineyards.
A perfectly balanced wine course, designed to introduce the beautiful Bergerac region, expand knowledge of wine and its appreciation - tasting techniques, tasting the grape varieties, choosing from restaurant lists, serving tips and techniques, as well as acquiring a deeper understanding of wine production.
A minimum of 3 wines will be shown per day during the class.

The Teachers

Honorary Chairman – Comte Laurent de Bosredon’s role is as a Bergerac wine ambassador, having promoted the region and its wines for over 30 years. He is also currently the CEO of the Union Interprofessionelle des Vins de Beregrac et Duras (UIVBD), and spent 10 years as the Chairman of the Professional Union between the Bordeaux Wines Committee and the South-West France Vineyards (Conseil Regional des Vins D'Aquitaine).
After graduating with a Masters in Economic Analysis from the Sorbonne in Paris, and a Political Sciences Degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politique at Bordeaux University, he took over the family vineyard and chateau of Chateau Belingard in 1986. Using modern techniques in production and oenology, Lauren and his wife Sylvie have built Belingard into a beautifully sited, well-run chateau vineyard. Chateau Belingard wines have won over 250 awards in the last 10 years.

CEO-International – David Mapley’s primary responsibility is the execution of the operating & marketing strategy worldwide for the group. After graduating with an MBA (Chicago), MSc & BSc(Econ) (London School of Economics) David has worked in the financial markets worldwide, In London, Tokyo, Hong Kong/Singapore, Sydney, Toronto and New York. In recent years he was engaged in angel investing in award winning start-up technology companies on the East Coast USA. David is an active investor.
